In SAP Analytics Cloud, models serve as the foundation for creating visualizations and conducting analyses within stories; and these models represent your structured and organized versions of raw data, which you can import from various sources such as databases, spreadsheets, or cloud applications.

For you to derive much needed insights, you can manipulate, transform, and aggregate the data within the model once imported. Allowing you to present data in a meaningful and interactive way, you can build out upon these models your visualizations and analyses in stories.
