The PlaniFi Month-End Close Agent runs the administrative side of your month-end close inside SAP Analytics Cloud. Your team still owns the accounting. The agent owns the sequence around it, the part an SAC administrator repeats in the same order every month.
What changes hands, and what does not
The agent owns

It does not post entries, calculate accruals or reconcile an account, and it does not decide whether the numbers are right. Every arrow between those two columns is a gate. The agent stops, a person approves, the agent continues.
Errors that stop being possible
Posting can no longer start before the month’s FX rates are loaded. A master data import cannot land with rejected records nobody reads. Version dates cannot still point at last month. Carry Forward cannot be skipped. And a step cannot be missed because the person who always does it is out.

If a readiness check fails, the period does not open. Nobody starts posting into a model that was not proved ready first.
Where it runs, and how it is fenced in
It runs in your tenant
Everything happens in your SAP Analytics Cloud tenant, in the objects you already use: the data locking grid, the currency conversion table, the version date properties, your Carry Forward data action and your approved calendar template. There is no separate database and no copy of your data.
It has no credentials of its own
A person signs in once through your normal sign-on, including SSO and MFA. The agent works inside that session with exactly that person’s permissions, never more.
Every live write is checked
A write can only target a version on an explicit safe list, and even then it is refused unless the field on the SAC screen reads the intended target. Production versions are protected by design.
The evidence is a byproduct of the close
Written as it happens
Every action, timestamp, result and screen image lands in the log at the moment of the change, not afterward.
Sealed in sequence
Each entry is sealed against the one before it, so an altered or deleted line is detectable.
Ready for the reviewer
The run produces a client-ready certification package with an independent integrity check a reviewer can repeat themselves.
The steps in a close are not difficult. The control around them is. Someone has to do each step in the right order, and someone has to prove months later that it was done. Today that proof is usually a spreadsheet and a memory. The close stops being a key-person dependency, the evidence stops being a scramble at year end, and the order of operations stops being optional.
