SAP Business AI

SAP Business AI

Most “AI in finance” turns out to be a chatbot bolted to the side of a system that still cannot answer the question. Embedding is the opposite: the intelligence sits inside the plan and the close, on data that carries its business meaning with it. This is the second of four places AI has to land, and it is where SAP’s own roadmap does most of the work.

We will tell you what is live and what is not

SAP ships Business AI capability on a schedule, and some of what gets demonstrated at a conference is not in your tenant yet. Every engagement starts by splitting the two: what runs in SAP today, and what is still roadmap.

The honesty is the differentiator, not a weakness. It is what makes the rest of the plan credible.

A plan built on a roadmap slide fails at the first steering committee. A plan that names the gap and says how it is covered in the meantime survives contact with your CFO. Where something is genuinely missing today, that is what pillar 03 is for.

The foundation decides whether any of it works

Gartner expects organizations to abandon 60% of AI projects that are not supported by AI-ready data through 2026, and found that 63% either lack the data management practices AI needs or do not know whether they have them.

This is the specific risk in finance. Point of sale in one platform, manufacturing in another, market data somewhere else, finance in the ERP. Each with its own idea of what a region is, or a product group, or a version. A model pointed at that will not stop and tell you the pieces do not line up. It answers anyway.

SAP awarded SimpleFi Expert tier in the SAP Business Data Cloud competency, the highest of its three tiers. SAP reserves it for partners who have taken customers through end-to-end transformation and built their own solution capability in that area.

What we actually do

  • Establish the governed data foundation, on SAP Business Data Cloud and Datasphere.
  • Deliver the SAP Business AI capability that is live in your landscape today.
  • Separate it, in writing, from what is still on the roadmap.
  • Cover the gap with our own agents where the wait would cost you a planning cycle.

SAP will help pay for it

SAP has committed €100 million to partner-led Business AI adoption, worth up to €100,000 per approved engagement through 2026. If what you want to do qualifies, that changes the business case before anyone has to defend it.
